The inspiration behind LeAnn’s Legacy is our dear founder, LeAnn (Schroeder) Hardiek. In 2012, this young, single mother was diagnosed with Triple Negative BRACA1 Breast Cancer. She received an outpouring of support from friends, family, and the entire community, who helped her and her two sons, Aiden and Will. After this experience, LeAnn wanted to pay it forward. She began a local fundraiser called Bras for a Cause. Through her efforts, thousands of dollars went towards those in our area who were going through the same hardship; many lives were touched by her passion to help others. Three years after creating her annual fundraiser, LeAnn earned her heavenly wings. Several people, including her sons Aiden and Will, her Momma, Barb Starwalt, and dear friends have continued the mission she began with LeAnn’s Bras for a Cause, we have since renamed the organization to LeAnn’s Legacy in honor of her compassion and generosity.
